A notch is pulled out of the paving to leave space for a water feature. The image of the garden is broken and reflected in the tall prisms at the rear. The diamond elements reflect Mencaps diamond year.
Up on the Roof Dirt with the Jane Goodall Institute Designer Jennifer Hirsch
The garden represents another urban roof and is described as a minimalist exploration of humans and nature. The Idea is that roof gardens help with energy conservation, water management and reduce the effect of heat in the cities. It is also inspired by the idea of making a difference to others through our communities which designer has in common with the Jane Goodall institute.

A contemporary garden for city workers to relax in or to entertain in.
There is a small traditional stone water basin into which water constantly flows. All materials are reclaimed traditional items from Lebanon.

A clearing in a temperate forest with a classic UK pergolas and hanging baskets. Doesnt sound too inspiring but all the elements combine to make a garden you would be reluctant to leave.

Another roof garden, with the roof garden problems like thin soil, but plants that are attractive to birds and insects. A small water feature mimics hot springs in Yellowstone Park.
The garden features a a low , circular, steel container, where bubbles of water spill over the edge.
