Hampton court palace flower show, awarded to the best Water Gardens...

Anglo Aquarium Plant Co. Ltd/ Banrock Station Wines: Banrock Station SILVER-GILT FLORA AWARD

Designers: Loi Man and Jonathan Martin

A rundown sheep station was the starting point for Banrock Wines. Supposedly there were wetlands there and here they are in all the Australian lack of splendour you would expect them to be.

Not really the best theme to use to try to get a gold medal.

Dorset Water Lily Company: Hot Springs- GOLD AWARD and TUDOR ROSE FOR BEST WATER GARDEN

Designer: Claudia de Yong

An attempt to show what sort of plants might be able to be grown outdoors in the UK if our climate gets increasingly warm.

Claudia, whose gardens in previous years have always been plagued with some problem beyond her control, despite an infestation of algae this year, came up trumps with a justified Tudor Rose award winner.

Lilies Water Gardens: Memories of a Long Hot Summer- SILVER FLORA AWARD

Designer : Simon Harman

Designed to appeal to children and to remind adults of their childhood. All the elements you may have yearned for as a kid and never had. It was always too dangerous to play near the water.

Both Anglo and Lilies Water Gardens had an excellent range of water plants fro sale.

The Weleda Garden: Pea Green Boat - BRONZE AWARD

Designer: Anny Konig

There was meant to be a sense of well-being vibrant, dynamic, positive, uplifting and revitalising. So that was what the purple waterfall was all about?

World of Water: Come Rain or Shine SILVER GILT FLORA

Designer: Peter Sims

A thoroughly pleasant garden with the elements nicely focussed together. Peter Sims pays great attention to detail.
